Queen & slim review. My girlfriend and two daughters were there. They waited a year for awesome. I had high hopes for this movie based on the trailer and positive comments on social media. Unfortunately I found myself laughing and cringing through most of it. Numerous times I found it predictable. The only savings grace for this movie was it's good soundtrack, cinematography and acting. Some scenes felt forced and added just for cosmetic purposes and added no real value to the story. There were too many unrealistic moments that ruined this movie for me. If you decide to do this type of story and engage in social issues, it must feel real. Queen & slim. Queen & slime. I was captivated from start to end. It was filmed so well and it raised awareness of the struggles that people are still facing in this day and age. A sad thought provoking and moving film.
